City Administrator

A lifelong public servant with deep roots in Central Ohio, Rod Davisson is a decorated Navy veteran, experienced attorney, and forward-thinking municipal leader. After graduating from Hamilton Township High School, Rod served in the U.S. Navy before earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Franklin University and his Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School—both with honors.

Rod spent more than a decade practicing law in Columbus, most recently as a partner at Ice Miller LLP. His legal career focused on representing municipalities, school districts, and other public entities in a wide range of matters including infrastructure development, construction law, public contracting, and economic development. He has tried cases in state, federal, and claims courts, and is a recognized authority in Ohio municipal law.

A three-term Mayor of Obetz, Rod now serves as the City Administrator, where he continues to champion innovation, sustainability, and economic growth. He is a LEED Accredited Professional, a recipient of Columbus Business First’s Forty Under 40 award, and an accomplished speaker and author on topics ranging from public construction to municipal utilities and economic strategy.
