Ohio Power Company Approves $10,000 to Support Obetz Food Pantry and Senior Lunch Programs

The City of Obetz is pleased to announce that Ohio Power Company has approved $10,000 in funding to support the Obetz Food Pantry, senior lunch programming and related supplies and outreach efforts.

The funding will help provide food and essential groceries for neighbors in need, support meals for seniors and supply materials needed to serve the community. This support will help throughout the year and provide additional assistance during the upcoming holiday season.

The approved funding includes:

  • $5,000 for food pantry food and essential groceries

  • $4,000 for senior lunch food and meal supplies

  • $500 for disposable and serving supplies and program materials

  • $500 for nutrition and outreach materials

“On behalf of the City of Obetz, I want to thank Ohio Power Company for its partnership and generous support,” said Mayor Angela Kirk. “This funding helps us continue serving our neighbors in need and providing meals for our seniors. We are grateful for this support throughout the year, especially as the upcoming holiday season brings additional needs for many families.”
