The City of Obetz would like to make residents aware of several upcoming and ongoing road construction projects in the surrounding area that may impact daily travel.

While these projects are not all located within Obetz city limits, they affect major routes frequently used by our residents. We encourage everyone to plan ahead and allow for additional travel time.

Current and Upcoming Impacts

Williams Road Closure
Williams Road will be closed between Alum Creek Drive and Hamilton Road beginning March 30 for approximately 30 days. This full closure will require drivers to seek alternate routes.

Ramp Closures at I-270 and US-33

• The ramp from I-270 North to US-33 West will be closed for 30 days.
• The ramp from US-33 East to I-270 North will be closed for 90 days.

These closures may significantly affect commuters traveling through the southeast side of the region.

Lane Restrictions on I-270 North
I-270 North at US-33 will be reduced to one lane for approximately 30 days, which may cause delays during peak travel times.

I-270 South at I-70 Intermittent Closures
Drivers should also be aware of intermittent closures along I-270 South at I-70 over the next 30 to 90 days due to ongoing construction. These closures will vary, so motorists should remain alert for changing traffic patterns.

Residents are encouraged to:

• Allow extra time for travel
• Use alternate routes when possible
• Stay alert for posted detours and construction signage
